The Big pot

Hausa is a collection of furniture tracing back a time were the arch was an powerful tool. A shape that is not only used for it’s strength in architecture, but also for it’s status of celebration and power. I felt in love with the arches, and the tradition of  celebrating objects. Hausa is a constant growing collection of objects.

Objects that for me lost a certain joy, because they are made only for there functionality. By shaping the arches in these ordinary and forgetting about there functions.  I wanted to express my joy and romance of building, and to remind the viewer of the tradition of celebration in building.
